When you have a discussion about functionality and longevity, Miss V8 387/6 is a perfect reference. At 16 years old she still offers a great contribution to our herd through embryo and natural calves. She still has a perfect udder, even at this age. She is moderate framed, structurally sound cow that has easily maintained her body condition and hoof integrity, through out her life.387/6 is sired by +JDH Charley’s Jazz 946/1 and out of Miss V8 402/5, who lived to be 17 years old. As you examine the pedigree of 402/5 you will notice that she is sired by (+) JDH Copano Manso and that she is a direct daughter of +Miss V8 617/2 who held the #1 spot in ABBA’s Register of Renown for many years. 617/2 is currently #2 behind CT 8/9. 387/6’s three-generation pedigree includes 10 Register of Renown animals, five of which are Vangaurd sires and dams. She has produced 28 calves in her lifetime both naturally and through embryo transfer. Of those, there are 3 daughters that have gone on to be influential ET donor females and 4 sons that have become herdsires for other progressive Brahman breeders, including Triple H Cattle, Circle F Farms, Asa Lee, and Myra Neal Morrison.
