Lyn Castaneda

As Ranch Manager of BRC Ranch, Lyn Castaneda stands at the forefront of a new generation of Texas cattle leadership—combining hands-on ranching knowledge with modern management, global communication skills, and a forward-thinking approach to herd and beef program development.

A 2024 graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Agricultural Business, Lyn joined BRC in 2022 and quickly distinguished himself through his work ethic, instincts, and ability to master every aspect of ranch operations. From the show barn to the calving pastures to the boardroom, Lyn brings a rare combination of practical livestock expertise and strategic business acumen.

Today, Lyn oversees all day-to-day ranch operations for BRC’s Brahman, Angus, and Hereford herds—making BRC one of the only Gulf Coast seedstock operations managed under a unified, data-driven, crossbreeding-focused leadership structure. His responsibilities include breeding program design, pasture and forage management, herd health oversight, equipment and facility coordination, and team leadership across multiple ranch divisions.

Lyn also manages the BRC Ranch Beef program and key partnerships with school districts through the Texas FarmFresh Network. His ability to bridge production agriculture with modern beef-supply-chain logistics positions BRC as a leader in locally sourced, ranch-raised beef.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Lyn plays a central role in BRC’s international relationships, assisting breeders from around the world with their genetic programs, coordinating ranch visits, and representing BRC with professionalism and cultural fluency. He is also instrumental in managing the ranch’s Louisiana expansion and special-project herds across state lines.

Respected for his calm leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Lyn is recognized as an emerging leader in the Texas beef industry. His blend of traditional ranching skill and progressive management philosophy reflects the next era of BRC—where elite cattle, disciplined operations, and global vision all work together to move the industry forward.
