We have slowly been working on implementing some genetic diversity at BRC over the past few years in hopes of making an outcross herd sire we could breed to most everything in our herd and we feel BRC Johnny Brahman 299 is exactly what we were trying to generate. 

Our search for outcross genetics to maintain the quality we have and keep function and production at the forefront led us to the Partin Heart Bar ranch where we were immediately impressed with the King Garrett 584/1 herd sire Carlton has been using heavily in their program. We knew right away, he was a perfect match for Sweetie, who has earned her spot as the ranches most consistent power donor that probably adds more performance, bone, and  thickness than any cow in our donor battery.

The flush of 584 to sweetie made 2 show barn heifers, 2 high sellers, 5 keeper females and possibly the strongest flush mate, Johnny Brahman, who at the time was the only bull in that mating. From that point he has continued to impress and improve all while racking up division championships at both the Cattleman's Congress and the Brahman National show. Not only are we excited to continue watching 299 excel in the show ring, but more importantly we cannot wait to plug him into our program where expect him to consistently generate quality and make an immediate impact.
