We are pleased to announce the BRC Seedstock Assurance Package, which is available free of charge for any animal valued at $25,000 or more at the request of our clients.
At BRC, we are committed to providing exceptional experiences for our clients. Many of our clients are new ranchers, and sometimes this comes with a bit of inexperience in basic animal husbandry and selection matters that come second nature to long-time ranchers like us.
We’ve all seen it time and time again. New breeders get excited, are eager to invest in genetics, and sometimes unscrupulous sellers take advantage of this naivety. BRC is here to serve our customers and assist them all along the way and we go the extra mile to help our customers choose the right animal for their long term success.
What this package includes:
You wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it would you? In the horse industry, a pre-purchase vet check is standard. Why doesn’t the cattle industry offer a similar service? That’s a question we asked, and decided to answer for ourselves. We do now.
If our customer requests it, we will facilitate the following services prior to purchase. This service is also in addition to the standard BRC breeding guarantee that comes with every animal we sell.
- Our herd veterinarian at Wharton Veterinary Clinic will be happy to provide a pre-purchase exam, or, the client may bring a veterinarian of their choice to BRC Ranch if they wish. The veterinarian will be approved by the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. The customer and /or their representative is welcome to attend too.
- The veterinarian will provide a basic health check including taking the animals temperature, evaluating the animals eyes, mouth, skin, and hooves.
- The veterinarian will also look at the general overall condition of the animal including body condition scoring, and look for any signs of previous injury or disease.
- BRC will provide a copy of any previous health records or veterinary treatments.
This service is available for a premium add on of $250 to any animal sold at BRC if desired.
